Associate Professor Eva Del Soldato Selected as Recipient of 2025-26 Rome Prize

Associate Professor Eva Del Soldato (Italian Studies) is among 35 recipients of the 2025-26 Rome Prize, awarded by the American Academy in Rome to support innovative fellows in the arts, humanities, and sciences. The fellowship will support Del Soldato’s project “Lovesickness in the Forgotten Centuries,” which investigates medical writing on lovesickness produced in the Italian peninsula after the Council of Trent. The scholars and artists explore and create while residing at the Academy’s 11-acre grounds in Rome for five to 10 months.
